Waxing

Waxing is an excellent way to deal with most hair removal. Waxing leaves the area smoother than shaving because it removes the hair from the root, so say goodbye to razor burn, rashes, nicks and stubble and throw away those smelly depilatory creams. This is the easiest and most convenient way to remove both large and small areas of unwanted hair.  With regular treatments hair can grow back finer and softer than before.  

The system I use for waxing is Perron Rigot strip and non-strip waxes from Paris. For coarse hair such as underarms, bikini, eyebrows and facial hair I use non-strip wax (otherwise known as hot wax, hard wax or film wax). A layer of oil is put onto the skin prior to application of the wax to provide a lipid barrier thus preventing the wax from sticking to the skin. The non-strip wax will encase the hair only and considerably reduces any inflammation after hair removal. For areas such as legs and arms I use a Perron Rigot strip wax (warm wax), once again using oil prior to wax application to provide a lipid barrier for the skin. The use of both these waxes does not leave skin feeling sticky and considerably reduces any inflammation after removal of hair.
